Dia libre - Day off

Ayer dia libre para darme un homenaje. Visita a la exhibicion Dior Illustrated: Renee Gruau & the line of beauty. Su colaboracion con Dior duro mas de 50 años, produciendo unas imagenes que marcaron estilo y son aun actuales. Reconoceis alguna ? Sus ilustraciones de lineas simples pero cargadas de sensualidad, con un uso restringido del color que las hace mas glamorosas y elegantes aun. Por si eso fuera poco tambien tenian 8 vestidos de la casa Dior, 5 de Galliano y 3 de Mr Christian. De alli a otra sala cercana a ver una mini exhibicion fotografica de Mathew Williamson, que me supo a poco as ser solo fotografica, lo mejor el pasillo de fuera con unos techos pintados y unas lamparas de lo mas original. I took the day off yesterday and went to see the Dior Illustrated: Renee Gruau & the line of beauty. 40+ works of one of my favorite illustrators for Dior Perfums and if that wasn't enough three models of Christian Dior and five of Gallliano. I enjoy his simple but sensual drawings, so sexy and elegant at the same time. See an interview with the curator here. Once there I also saw the Mathew Williamson one which was nearby, too little, too small, just a few photos to promote his book. Its best bit the outside corridor with lovely painted ceilings and very original lamps. My Gruau postcard collection and some images of the exhibition found on the web as photos are not allowed.
